Wahroonga
The Vision
The Challenge
The owners of this beautiful Wahroonga home had a vision to upgrade their outdoor entertaining space and improve the usability of the pool and garden area.
Narrow access ways on either side of the property were not accommodative to the size and quantity of materials needed to complete the renovation.
The Outcome
A front and backyard renovation that embodies classic yet contemporary styling with a blend of natural elements. This outdoor space is now unphased by seasonal change and usable all year round.

Classic meets contemporary in this front and backyard poolside garden renovation.
This comprehensive renovation of both front and backyard gardens, alongside a poolside transformation, perfectly marries functionality with visual appeal.

Central to the design is the fire pit area, where crushed granite forms a rustic yet refined gathering space. Here, sandstone and timber seating invite moments of connection and relaxation.

The hand-shaped sandstone retaining walls not only provide structure but also add texture. Travertine extends its reach throughout the property, from garden steppers and stairs to the patio entertaining area and the welcoming front access path. Blending durability with the timeless beauty of natural stone.

The pool area offers a serene escape, where the continuation travertine paving lays the groundwork for lazy summer weekends in the sun. Tasmanian oak screening and gates not only enhance privacy but also bring warmth and organic texture to the landscape. While steel corten edging clearly defines garden boundaries, with its weathered finish complementing the natural palette of the renovation.

The diverse planting scheme brings a blend of native plants and succulents. Enriching the aesthetic and creating a lush, low-maintenance garden that thrives through the seasons. A smart irrigation system and strategically installed drainage takes the guess work out of managing the green spaces.

By balancing the tactile beauty of materials like sandstone and travertine with the lush textures of native flora and succulents, we've created a space that invites exploration, relaxation, and a deep connection with nature.
