Our Founder
Cam McDonald
Ever since he was 10 years old, Cam has harboured a deep-seated passion for nurturing gardens and landscapes. He initiated his first landscaping venture at this age, by mowing the lawns of his neighbours. He then went on to pursue a fruitful career in construction, which took an unexpected turn when the company he was working for entered voluntary administration. Facing this career shift, Cam seized the opportunity to make his green passions full-time by launching Outdoor Residential in 2018.
From day one, Cam's vision was to create more than just a landscaping and garden maintenance business; it was about establishing a service that stood out in a saturated industry. He was determined to bring exceptional quality and a strong community reputation to the forefront. With a meticulous approach to planning and organization, Cam and his team ensure seamless operations, from staff coordination to client communication. This attention to detail has helped Outdoor Residential maintain over 300 landscaping contracts across Sydney. Fostering a sense of trust and reliability with all their clients.
Cam dedicates himself as much to the people around him, as he does to the gardens he tends. He’s cultivated a nurturing and empowering environment, providing his team with the tools, training, and opportunities they need to grow. This commitment to his staff has allowed Outdoor Residential to grow from three to sixteen members in just four years. And through this dedication, Cam has incredibly serviced the same customers for over 25 years.
