The Vision
The Challenge
This client, a young family, wanted a multifunctional outdoor space that met the needs of each family member.
With a narrow block, the design for this backyard upgrade needed to utilise every square metre of the space to it s full potential. This required some heavy demolition work to create a clean slate to work from.
The Outcome
A fusion of modern and classic styles blend harmoniously in this inner west terrace. Materials have been hand-picked for both durability and aesthetics to craft a space that has room for mum and dad to share a Sunday morning coffee and where the kids can shoot some hoops.

Small space, big ideas​
This Lewisham backyard renovation exemplifies building a multifunctional outdoor space that is both durable and stylish. We began by demolishing and removing existing outdoor structures, clearing the way for a fresh start. Our team then carefully repaired and reinstated the existing retaining walls and drainage systems, ensuring a solid foundation for the enhancements to come.
The installation of French pattern limestone adds timeless elegance and durability to the outdoor space. A new pathway featuring river pebbles and steppers leads to a dedicated storage shed area, combining practicality with natural beauty. The stairs, adorned with limestone cobbles, enhance the rustic charm and cohesive design of the landscape.
Feature pergola beams were installed, set for future lighting, promising to add ambiance to evenings entertaining at home. New timber painted fencing along the boundaries ensures privacy and complements the landscape's natural aesthetic. This project reflects our commitment to creating outdoor spaces that are as functional as they are beautiful, ready to be enjoyed for years to come.
